Huang is originally from Nanning, the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China. She worked as an art consultant in a creative institute in Beijing since 2011. In 2015 Huang moved to Germany, where she continued her artistic practices and established herself as an independent artist. She often explores topics of individual identity in the context of social phenomena.
Currently she lives and works in Heidelberg, Germany.
